CoR – After four years of working under the SECoR designation, in April of 2008 Cortek Drilling was awarded a Certificate of Recognition.

In addition to our CoR, Cortek Drilling is a registrant with both Canada HSE Registry and ISN Networld , if your company is a registered member of either organization you can log on and view our current information. For non-members, please send your contact info to susan.mumby@nabors.com and we will forward you the relevant information.

All Cortek drillers have at a minimum completed: H2S training, First Aid Certification, WHMIS, TDG, Ground Disturbance, Fire Extinguisher Safety Training and Hazard Identification training. In addition to these tickets, each driller must comply with Cortek’s internal Driller Competency Evaluation prior to drilling.

Our objective is to maintain a zero rate for lost time accidents and as such, Cortek Drilling has committed to a strong safety program that protects its employees, its property, the environment and the public from accidents.

Management and Employees are responsible and accountable for the company’s overall safety initiatives. Complete and active participation by everyone, every day, in every job is a requirement for the safety excellence the company expects. Management supports coordination of safety among all workers on the job site.

Cortek will provide proper equipment, training and procedures as required. Employees are responsible for following all procedures, working safely, and wherever possible, improving safety measures.
